Invictus Street Riders Motorcycle Club 4th Anniversary – Celebration of Life
Invictus: Latin for Unconquerable. Invincible. Undefeated. These words aptly describe Laurel, MD’s Invictus Street Riders Motorcycle Club (ISRMC). Only a couple short weeks prior to their 4th Anniversary, the club suffered a tragedy with the passing of one of their members, “Brickz” Michael Derrell Baldwin. It would’ve understandable considering the timing of this loss for the club to have postponed or canceled their anniversary. Rather than doing so, in honor and respect of their brother they moved forward with plans. The community in turn came out showing strong support evidenced in their highly attended main event, the “Darkside” with guests from Boston, NY, Philly, Jersey, NC, GA and throughout the DMV.
The weekend kicked off with a 1st Round Knockout Meet n’ Greet on Friday followed by a memorial service for Brickz and Charity Ride for Prostate Cancer on Saturday. During the “Lightside” Saturday afternoon cookout, featuring DJ Mack of ISRMC, Riders were given the chance to flex their skills with a challenging, but fun obstacle course along with food, music and vendors.
When the sun went down, it was time for the Darkside party with oh-so fly LymeLyte of N-2Deep Sistas MC doing her thing as the party’s hostess and DJ Snap of Underworld Ryderz MC kept the crowd movin’ all night. Staying true to form, when the fellas made their grand entrance into the party they kept things simple. President Ddnyce gratefully thanked those that helped the club get started the right way and closing with paying respect and tribute to their Brother Brickz. Awards were given for categories as Most Repped and Furthest Traveled on 2s then it was back to celebrating. “On behalf of the entire club we thank everyone that came out to support.
