Think Like A Man

My Aunt, cousins and I ventured out to see Steve Harvey's "Think Like A Man", yes we made it a girl’s outing.  We wanted to see for ourselves if the buzz surrounding this production was actually deserved.

I can assuredly say the buzz is very well deserved and see how it has remained as the number 1 movie for two solid weeks.  One word easily sums up my thoughts, BRAVO!

Think Like A Man is hilariously funny and very true to life with stellar performances by the entire cast. The script was superbly written for each actor/actress' respective role in which they all gave "star" quality performances.  Kevin Hart, in my opinion, dug deep and stole the movie with his usual antics, energy and comedic timing.

Ladies and Gents, you will find old school timeless wisdom and knowledge being dropped on you in this cinematic marvel.  It's safe to say most of us have been in situations portrayed in Think Like A Man.  For instance, our parents told us back in the day not to judge a book by its cover.  I know some of us didn't listen to that nugget of advice and paid the price with a harsh life lesson.  We also have a tendency to gravitate towards a well-dressed man or woman because they may hold a high level position or drive that latest top-of-the-line ride.  However, those that have little to offer except for love and respect are those we kick to the curb although they are the ones that are sincere and genuine with the big heart.

Think Like A Man shows us in a comical non-evasive manner that it's better to be respected, loved, sexed up, wined and dined by someone who genuinely cares than by someone who is selfish and self centered that may appear to have it going on.  When you put it all into perspective, it comes down to having self respect and doing what's right.  It's about sharing what we each bring to the table in a relationship and building an empire together while being a true friend, lover and partner.  It's about expressing your feelings and being sensitive to the feelings of your mate.  At the end of the day, both of you can be in an emotionally sound and happy relationship provided you are both willing to make comprises without compromising your personal values and integrity.  Think Like A Man does an excellent job communicating this very obtainable state of bliss.

If you can't relate to the characters and situations portrayed in Think Like A Man you obviously have issues - LOL!  Regardless of what stage of relationship you're in whether it’s dating, playing the field or married to see this movie, go see this film.  You will learn valuable life lessons while enjoying it in the process. 

Steve Harvey, I commend you for providing us with this excellent insight into relationships.  You told it like it 'TIS.
